Multi-Wavelength Forensic LED Light
Military & police routinely use bright light lamps (alternate light sources) for a wide variety of criminal & battlefield forensic investigations.
The Z-Bolt® SPECTRUM brings unmatched multi-color capability and portability to the battlefield or crime scene.
Multi-Color, 4x Wavelengths in One Unit!
Capable - Portable - Adaptable - Affordable
Although less common, some portable ALS units feature a variable color control to adjust the wavelength. The SPECTRUM has that capability. The unit features a 10W RGB CREE LED for brightness, and features a variable color selector to choose 6500k White; 450nm Blue; 530nm Green; 625nm Red. All in one device - but WITHOUT using an optical filter! Superior brightness; >90% illumination uniformity. Orange or red filtered safety glasses included - ANSI certified.

Portable Forensic Light Kits (ALS)
Portable forensic light kits are used by law enforcement and military units to detect and analyze evidence found during crime scene & battlefield investigations. An ALS (alternate light source) can emit multiple visible, and/or infrared (IR) light that is filtered to individual color bands (wavelengths). The wavelengths enhance the visualization of evidence, which may glow (fluoresce) or darken when illuminated using the ALS and viewed using the corresponding barrier filter. Different wavelengths enhance the appearance of different types of evidence; therefore, multiple wavelengths may be required to complete a thorough investigation of a crime scene. Some kits provide a different ALS for each wavelength. The ALSs in this type of kit typically resemble flashlights—each have their own light and power source. When the operator wants to change wavelengths, they select another ALS from the kit.
